On the 8th of November 2005 the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven awarded an honorary doctorate degree to Prof. Dr. David P. Baron in honor of 50th volume of the Tijdschrift voor Economie en Management (now Review of Business and Economics). Professor Baron gave a lecture on "The Political Economy of Public Regulation and Private Regulation" to an audience that included the rector of the K.U.Leuven, professor Marc Vervenne.
