16 - 18 September: The Economics and Politics of Chocolate. The first conference covering a broad set of issues “from poor cocoa producers to rich chocolate consumers” and all aspects related to the organization of the (global) supply chains linking them.

22 - 24 June: China Economics Summer Institute, co-sponsored by UC Berkeley Center on Institutions and Governance (with generous funding from the Ford Foundation), the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and a joint program of the LICOS-Centre for Institutions and Economic Performance at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Stanford- CASS REAP (Rural Education Action Program).
