Problems that don't require human communication nor interaction with the IT department. All requests have to be made through this website. Examples:

  • Questions about (purchases of) hard- and/or software
  • Hardware repairs
  • Ordering major pc hardware or software reconfigurations
  • Software reconfigurations for the student pc rooms
  • Orders that imply costs

Problems that require interactive contacts

Problems that require communication and interaction with the informaticians of the IT department. Examples:

  • Information and questions regarding hard- and software
  • Discussing major assignments that imply costs
  • Fixing an appointment with one of the informatician

Emergency calls

Serious problems with your personal pc, printer or the faculty network that require immediate intervention. (The use of the emergency number can be compared to that of normal emergency services.) Examples

  • No e-mail service on several pc's on my floor
  • The webserver of the Faculty can't be reached
  • No more internet access on several pc's of my floor
  • The server/dataprojector in the pc room doesn't work
  • All printers on my floor are out of order
  • A (possibly) large virus infection has been discovered
