Doctor Honoris Causa

On the 6th of May 2008, Ankara University awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Prof. Dr. Marc J. Goovaerts, professor at both Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Universiteit van Amsterdam, for his important contributions to the sciences of probability, statistics and applied mathematics, as well as his activities that are to the great benefit of scientists, individuals and societies.
