Gerald Willmann joined K.U.Leuven in the fall of 2007. He holds a Diploma in Quantitative Economics from the University of Kiel and a PhD in Economics from Stanford University. Before joining the department, Gerald was Assistant Professor at the University of Kiel, Germany.
His main research interest is the area of international economic integration, in particular political aspects of international trade and international factor flows, as well as European and global economic cooperation.
He has taught courses on these topics as well as Microeconomics at Kiel as well as at Stanford University, the University of Illinois, the University of Hannover, and the University Otago, where he held visiting positions.
Gerald's research has been published in journals such as the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Urban Economics, the Canadian Journal of Economics, among others. |
