Alumnus FBE becomes ‘president’ of the EU

Herman Van Rompuy With the appointment of Herman Van Rompuy as president of the EU, an alumnus of the Faculty of Business and Economics takes on the highest European position. Herman van Rompuy graduated with a master in Economic Sciences in 1971. During his career, his relationship with the faculty remained exceptionally close.

In name of the staff, the students and the alumni of the Faculty of Business and Economics, I would like to congratulate Herman with this extremely important appointment. We have complete faith in his capacity to excel in this important challenge and wish him the best.
