Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the 2009 meeting of the Belgian Statistical Society (SBS-BVS), organised by the K.U.Leuven (Faculty of Business and Economics and Leuven Statistics Research Centre). The meeting will take place in Centerparcs De Vossemeren in Lommel on October 15 & 16, 2009. Additionally, a special afternoon is organized on October 14, 2009 for the PhD students.
 
The meeting is organised in collaboration with the Quetelet Society, the Biostatistical section of the BSS and the Interuniversity Attraction Pole on Statistical Analysis of Association and Dependence in Complex Data.

Special afternoon for young statisticians

The 2009 meeting will emphasize the importance of supporting young statisticians by offering them a special afternoon before the meeting and by giving most of them the possibility to present their work through a poster or an oral presentation.
